Masterpiece Competition - Entries Now Closed!

The TasPlates Masterpiece Competition has officially come to a close. Thank you to everyone who entered and shared the stories behind their plates.

We were inspired by the imagination, clever wordplay and personal meaning showcased across the entries. From heartfelt tributes to playful and witty ideas, each TasPlate told a unique story, reflecting personality, passion and creativity.

FAQs

Who can enter the TasPlates Masterpiece Competition?

Entry is open to Australian residents aged 18 years or over who purchase an eligible open content TasPlate during the promotional period. Entrants must hold a Tasmanian driver’s licence or a TasPlates Customer Reference Number (CRN).

When does the competition run?

The TasPlates Masterpiece Competition runs from 10am on 5 February 2026 to 5pm on 16 April 2026 (AEST).
Entries received outside this period will not be accepted.

How do I enter the competition?

Purchase an eligible open content TasPlates during the promotional period and submit your entry using the competition submission form.
In 40 words or less, tell us why your plate is a Masterpiece.

What plates are eligible?

Only Open Content plates are eligible, other non-Open Content styles are excluded. For a detailed list of the ranges included, please refer to our Terms & Conditions or you visit our Open Content Range page

I already bought my plate; can I still enter?

Yes. If you purchased an eligible open content plate during the promotional period, you can still enter by submitting the story behind your plate via the TasPlates Masterpiece Competition Form

How are the winners selected?

All entries are reviewed and judged based on creativity, originality, and the story behind the plate.

How many times can I enter?

Each eligible open content TasPlate purchase counts as one entry. Multiple entries for the same plate purchase will not be accepted.
There is no limit to the number of entries per person, provided each entry relates to a separate eligible plate purchase.
Limit one prize per winner; if a winner has purchased multiple plates, the prize applies to one (1) plate only.

What types of entries are not accepted?

Entries will be excluded if they relate to ineligible plate types, restyled or replacement plates, are submitted outside the promotional period, contain offensive or inappropriate content, or do not meet the entry requirements.

What do I win?

Each week, the winning entry will receive a refund of the cost of their plate. The prize is not transferable, exchangeable, or redeemable for cash.

How will the refund be issued?

The refund will be processed to the original payment method used to purchase the plate.

How many winners will there be and when will they be notified?

One winner will be selected each week during the competition period and notified using the contact details provided at purchase or entry.

What happens if my plate doesn’t pass approval or production?

Entries are subject to standard TasPlates approval processes. Plates that do not meet approval requirements are not eligible.

Can TasPlates use my entry for marketing?

By entering, you agree that TasPlates may feature your plate and/or story in promotional materials.
