These ‘TasPlates Masterpiece Competition’ promotional terms and conditions (Masterpiece T&Cs) regarding the Masterpiece Promotion should be read in conjunction with the TasPlates Terms and Conditions of use – https://www.tasplates.com/terms-conditions (Terms of Use).
By participating in the Masterpiece Promotion entrants are deemed to have read, accepted and agreed to the Masterpiece T&Cs and TasPlates Terms of Use.
Promotional Period:
The Masterpiece Promotion will commence on 5th of Febuary 2026 at 10 am and run for ten (10) consecutive weeks, ending on 16th of April at 5 pm.
How to Enter:
- Purchase any eligible Open Content Range plate (listed below) during the Promotional Period.
- Submit your plate content and tell us in 40 words or less why you chose it via the Competition Form
Eligibility:
- Entrants must be at least 18 years of age and a resident of Australia.
- TasPlates employees, personnel, officers, directors, agents, contractors, and their immediate family members are not eligible to enter.
- Entrants must hold a Tasmanian driver’s licence or a TasPlates CRN (Customer Reference Number).
Prize:
- Each week over the ten (10) week Promotional Period TasPlates will select one winning entry based on the judging criteria set out below.
- Each weekly winner will receive a refund equivalent to the full purchase price of their plate, as listed below.
Eligible Plate Ranges and Full Prices:
The Masterpiece Promotion applies to the following Open Content Range plates only:
- Classic Open Content – Full price: $1,119
- 3D Open Content – Full price: $1,309
- Statement Open Content – Full price: $1,119
- US Size Open Content – Full price: $1,309
- Prestige – Full price: $1,755
- Prestige Plus – Full price: $2,500
- Prestige Motorcycle – Full price: $1,755
- Classic Cycle Open Content – Full price: $1,119
Game of Skill – Judging Criteria
The Masterpiece Promotion is a game of skill. Chance plays no part in how entries are judged and winners determined.
Entries are judged individually by TasPlates based on the following criteria:
- Creativity – how unique and imaginative the plate content and story are.
- Originality – how distinct the idea or message is from others.
- Story Relevance – how well the story reflects the chosen plate content.
- Fun and Expression – how engaging, entertaining, or enjoyable the idea and story are.
Entries that best demonstrate creativity, originality, fun, and story relevance will be selected as weekly winners.
Notification of Winners:
Each weekly winner will be notified to the email address provided by an entrant at the time of plate purchase. TasPlates may also publish the winning entries on its website and/or social media channels.
Exclusions:
The following exclusions apply to the Masterpiece Promotion:
- Customers purchasing a plate from product ranges not listed above, being all ranges not including the Open Content Range.
- Restyled or replacement plates.
- Plates purchased outside the Promotional Period.
- Any entries not compliant with submission requirements, including entries containing offensive, discriminatory, or inappropriate content.
General Conditions of entry:
- Entries must be original and created by the entrant.
- Entrants may only submit one entry per purchase of an eligible Open Content Range plate. Multiple entries will not be accepted.
- TasPlates reserves the right to verify eligibility and disqualify any entry that does not meet the requirements of the Masterpiece T&Cs and TasPlates Terms of Use.
- By entering the Masterpiece Promotion entrants consent to TasPlates using their plate combination and story for marketing and promotional purposes, in its sole and absolute discretion, and without payment of any kind to the entrant.
- Weekly prizes are non-transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash or credit.
- TasPlates reserves the right to amend, extend, or withdraw the promotion at any time without notice in the event of unforeseen circumstances beyond TasPlates’ reasonable control.
